Building in Public: Why We Made Loregrid
Every worldbuilder knows the moment: you need one fact, and it's somewhere between a notebook, a document, a spreadsheet, and an old Discord message.
The problem we kept running into
Most tools gave us a page for a character and a page for a location. What they did not make easy to see was why that character betrayed that kingdom, or how a small event generations ago changed a present-day conflict. The connection lived in our heads.
A map of relationships
Loregrid began with a simpler question: what if a worldbuilder could look at the shape of a universe, rather than dig through a folder of entries? That is why characters, locations, factions, events, and items become connected nodes in a living map.
Why build in public
We are a small team, and the people using Loregrid regularly show us the gap between what we assumed mattered and what actually helps at the table or at the desk. This blog is where we will share features, workflows, mistakes, and the feedback that changes the product.
