Notion vs Loregrid vs World Anvil: Which One Should You Actually Use?
There isn't one obvious right answer. These tools solve different problems.
Notion
Notion is flexible and familiar. It is a good choice when you want to design your own databases and writing workflow. The trade-off is that it does not understand worldbuilding structure; relationships usually remain links inside pages.
World Anvil
World Anvil is mature and feature-rich, with templates, maps, timelines, and publishing tools. It is a strong choice for people who want a full encyclopedic worldbuilding suite and are comfortable with a larger learning curve.
Loregrid
Loregrid is for the point where a world has enough moving parts that you can no longer picture how they fit together. It starts with connected entities and a visual relationship map, while still giving you descriptions, timelines, and a player-safe published view.
Which should you choose?
Use Notion for flexible note systems. Use World Anvil for deep templates and an extensive worldbuilding suite. Use Loregrid when your real problem is seeing the web of connections across your world.
